Meet Kristin: SLU Intern for Claire
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
Kristin McGuire is an intern in the St. Louis City office. She's part of our statewide grassroots effort to contact voters and to ultimately turn out the vote on Nov. 6th to re-elect our Democratic candidates.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Kristin: I'm originally from Chicago, but I am studying Public Health and Music at Saint Louis University right now.
What first got you interested in politics?
Kristin: I think I have always been interested in politics! My family always discussed politics at the dinner table, so from a young age I always tried to stay updated on current events.
Why did you choose to volunteer for Claire?
Kristin: I am volunteering for Claire because I think this is the most important senate election in the country right now. It is so scary that a man like Todd could be as close as he is to having a say in our country's government. Claire truly cares about people in Missouri, and I cannot wait to continue working for this election.
What issue is most important to you in this campaign?
Kristin: The issue I am most passionate about is healthcare reform. Healthcare is not a privilege, but a necessity.
What has been your favorite part about volunteering for Claire?
Kristin: My favorite part of volunteering has been meeting all of the wonderful people I work with.
