McCaskill has earned another term — and The Star’s endorsement. Hawley has proved to be a disappointment in ways that are that go beyond even the “politics as usual” he used to rail against.
On Fox News this morning, Josh Hawley once again attacked Claire McCaskill's work for Missouri veterans. After Claire’s two year battle to pass the Arla Harrell Act, ensuring Missouri veterans got the benefits they’d earned and deserved, Claire is fighting to rename the local Macon post office after World War II veteran Arla Harrell. Instead of celebrating Arla's service, Hawley belittled Claire's work for the Missouri veteran.
Sadly, such hypocrisy has become a theme with Missouri's attorney general.
A new editorial from the Kansas City Star is slamming Republicans for their "wildly inaccurate," "disgusting," and "hate-spewing" attacks against Senator Claire McCaskill. The Editorial Board points out that "Republican dark-money, mask-their-true-identities groups have joined in with unusual gusto" in hopes of buying a Senate seat for Josh Hawley -- and cautioned voters to "understand that the GOP efforts are over-the-top, mostly wildly inaccurate and, in some cases, blatantly racist."
