Claire Gets Things Done: President Trump Has Signed 23 Bills Claire Has Helped Draft, Sponsored, or Co-Sponsored

MISSOURI — Senator Claire McCaskill has a strong record of cutting through gridlock and working across the aisle to get things done for Missourians. In just over a year, President Trump has signed 23 bills that Claire has helped to draft, sponsored, or cosponsored.

“Claire’s number one priority is to fight for the people of Missouri. Period. And she is constantly working to find new ways to get things done,” said McCaskill for Missouri Communications Director Meira Bernstein. “These 23 bills are proof that no matter who is in the White House, or who controls Congress, Claire will always find a way to make progress for Missourians.”

The bills that Claire has helped to draft, sponsored, or cosponsored and President Trump has signed include:

    1. Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2017, including the Arla Harrell Act (H.R.3218)


    1. FDA Reauthorization Act of 2017, to reduce the cost of prescription drugs by increasing competition and to allow hearing aids to be sold over the counter (H.R.2430)


    1. INTERDICT Act, to help stop the flow of the synthetic opioid fentanyl into our country (H.R.2142)


    1. DHS Blue Campaign Authorization Act, to strengthen DHS’ ability to address human trafficking (H.R.4708)


    1. Securing our Agriculture and Food Act, to protect Missouri’s agriculture by addressing the threat of Agro-Terrorism (H.R.1238)
