Momentum Behind McCaskill Campaign Grows with Over 146,000 Total Donors and an Average Donation of $67

MISSOURI – The momentum behind Senator Claire McCaskill’s campaign continues to grow with over 146,000 total donors since January 2017 and an average donation of $67. With over $4.3 million raised and nearly 16,000 first-time donors in Q2 2018, the grassroots support behind Claire is stronger than ever.

“Missourians know that Claire always has their back, and they are turning out in record numbers to keep her fighting for them in the Senate,” said McCaskill for Missouri Press Secretary Eric Mee. “Whether it’s Josh Hawley’s attempt to remove protections for Missourians with pre-existing conditions, or the tariffs that are hurting Missouri farmers and manufacturers, Missourians know the stakes in this election are too high to sit on the sidelines.”

Of the contributions Claire received in the second quarter of 2018, 85 percent were less than $100. These small dollar donations have led Claire to consistently shatter fundraising records for Senate candidates in Missouri and significantly exceed the support of her potential opponents.

In 2017, McCaskill received support from over 107,000 donors with an average contribution of $64, including almost 90,000 donors who had not previously given to her before.

McCaskill‘s campaign finished the quarter with over $12.2 million cash-on-hand.
