National Farmers Union PAC Endorses Claire McCaskill in U.S. Senate Race
MISSOURI — Today, the National Farmers Union PAC endorsed Senator Claire McCaskill for re-election, citing Claire’s commitment to fighting for Missouri’s family farmers, ranchers, and their communities.
“Claire McCaskill is a proven fighter for Missouri’s rural communities, and we are proud to endorse her for re-election,” said Roger Johnson, Chairman of National Farmers Union PAC. “Claire has stood up against tariffs that are undermining the livelihoods of Missouri farmers and devastating agricultural communities. She listens to the concerns of rural Missourians, and she fights for them in the Senate. We know she will always have Missouri farmers’ and ranchers’ backs.”
“I have visited rural communities all over Missouri and heard directly from farmers and ranchers about the challenges they face,” said Senator Claire McCaskill. “They have made it crystal clear that the Administration’s trade war is making it harder than ever to get by, and they need someone who will speak out for them. I’m going to keep fighting like a scalded cat to protect Missouri’s rural communities, and I’m grateful to have the National Farmers Union as an ally in that fight.”
As a daughter of rural Missouri, born in Rolla and raised in Houston and Lebanon, Claire understands the importance of Missouri’s rural communities. In addition to speaking out against the Administration’s trade war that is devastating Missouri farmers and ranchers, Claire has worked to pass bipartisan Farm Bills and fought back against unnecessary and burdensome regulations at the Environmental Protection Agency. She has earned the Golden Triangle Award from the National Farmers Union six times for her work to support family farmers, ranchers, and rural communities.
